As a partner of the Alliance to End Abuse Initiative, enacted by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, staff are working hard to reduce the incidence of domestic violence in the county. This is done through early intervention in cases of misdemeanors and felons. Despite the progress made, there are still gaps in services that need to be addressed. The Alliance to End Abuse has been instrumental in creating the Contra Costa Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
This coalition is comprised of 30 organizations and agencies that provide direct services to victims of human trafficking. The Alliance also manages the funds and directs the project associated with the grant. The Alliance to End Abuse has made significant and coordinated progress in assisting victims of violence, raising awareness, and holding offenders accountable. Thanks to their efforts, Contra Costa County is a true model of coordinated response to violence against women and other forms of interpersonal violence.
